pellets in a smokette?

I believe from past discussions that they are ok.

They will burn a little quick,due to size.

I've used all kinds of different smoking materials in my CS. Chunks, chips, pellets, sawdust, grapevines, tea, dried citrus peels, etc.

Feel free to use pellets.

I have used BBQr's Delight pellets on many occasions in my Smokette with good results. Make a heavy duty aluminum foil pouch as described by the company or consult Steve Raichlen's book on grilling. Put the pouch in the wood box of your Smokette and have at it!

PS Pineknot - put a hole in the pouch with a tootpick!

Thanks for the response. I am going to try without the pouch though. The grill set up is very much like the fire box in the Smokette and they last a good while. With no draft they shouldn't catch on fire.
