Didn't post until Sunday, 'cause turning in 8 entries in three hours for a KCBS contest and an IBCA contest wore me out.
That being said it was ALL worth it. And I have four ribbons and four checks to prove it.
Not bad for our 3rd contest, but still working on GC/RGC.
In IBCA:
2nd in Ribs
5th in Pork
In KCBS:
7th in Pork (first time to place in pork)
8th in Brisket

It's a lot of fun and my PERFECT teammate, Mrs. Smokin is awesome. She's addicted to contests now, especially after winning. She does a hell of a job.
REPORT:
This is the first ever joint KCBS/IBCA contest. The set it up so each contest had four entries.
KCBS (Chicken/Ribs/Pork/Brisket)
IBCA (1/2 Chicken/Ribs/Pulled Pork/Brisket)
Turns in started at 11 and ended at two. Two turn ins were at the same time, the others were staggered. Thanks GOD that the window for IBCA is 10 min before and after (not 5 like KCBS) so
I don't have the final tally for IBCA as they don't hand out sheets, but I'll post them when I get them/
The paid to 10 places with an overall Grand Champion of of the two scores combined.

Haven't decided if we're doing it again next year...tooooo tired.
