Here is a pic of the SmokinTex 1400 and my stand made from an old milk dispenser in stainless steel. Still have to make a latch for the bottom door. What do you think?

That white stuff all over everything - is that sugar or flour? Here in Cedar Key we clean up our messes after smoking.

Looks good to me dj! I use an old machine equipment stand or, when I'm going to someones house for a smoke away from home, I use the tailgate of my S-10.
I would hate to tell you what I call that white stuff! Anyway it was so cold out that day it didn't even feel warm behind the unit. BUT I will remember this in the summer so the siding doesn't start to droop from heat, (vinyl) The pics of my homemade one wouldn't load for me. Sorry as it is cool. Maybe SMokinokie will load them for us all to see. Dj

Does anyone ever worry about the heating element and transportation? I fear breaking or cracking it. Is this a dumb worry?

Thanks SmokinOkie. Now this item above was LP gas powered, all stainless except for the wheels and the aluminum handles. This is the one I "loaned" to a friend to take care of about a year ago. Don't know if i will ever ask for it back or not.
