I saw these in a new supermarket that opened up in town and decided to give them a try.

Seasoned with Lawrys SS, CS Chicken Rub, Garlic Powder.

I preheated the smoker 275 degrees with 2 oz of cherry 2 oz of hickory. Turned it down to 250 when I placed them in.

After 3 hours at 250, I removed them, chopped them up and added them to a heated concoction of half emptied BBQ sauces and added brownsugar, Mustard, and minced dried onions.

After 1 hour at 250 in the pan covered with HD aluminum foil.

Served with your favorite sides. Mine were Fried potatoes and greens.

These were a big hit. Super easy to make and I will definetly make them again. There are bones to deal with but it was fairly simple because the meat just peeled away. The price was fair but I heard you can find them cheaper. Try it!

It is fun! And this was one of those cheap on a budget type items, where my guests where extremely pleased and thought it was as good as any Bbq they had tried.

I paired this with a nice Double IPA from an eastcoast brewery. I find the east coast IPA's are a little more malty and less hops, which is a nice change from all the west coast hoppy IPA's I normally drink.

I believe KCBS membership gets you into RD.

Go up to the RD service desk, pleasantly greet the person working there and hand them your KCBS membership card and ask them for a "day pass".

After some keyboarding, and sometimes some head-scratching, the service person will hand you a slip with a handwritten number on it that you hand to the cashier when you check out.

KCBS is the RD member. YOU are a person authorized by KCBS to purchase goods at RD with their membership.

Bring lots of money, lots of coolers, and a jacket Wink You'll be like a kid in a candy store. It is hard to beat RD prices unless a grocery store has a loss-leader to bring traffic into the store (like 59 cent a pound turkeys at Thanksgiving).

AndyJ does anyone belonging to KCBS have the ability to join RD?

Sorry, been out of town. But yep, like everyone else said, if you're a KCBS member ($35/yr) you can print out a coupon off their website that has their membership info. Take it along with your KCBS membership card and ask for a day pass at the service desk. You yourself are not actually joining Restaurant Depot, you are getting day passes using KCBS's membership.
It's all about terminology.

It could be spare rib trimmings (like the photos from the Original Poster) or it could be Featherbones as described in the link above.

Key is the shape of the bone that you get. More oval will be rib trimmings and a more spread out (1" across) would be featherbones.

They're all good eats.

The ones' Applebee sells as Riblets are Featherbones.
