Hello everyone, I have a question about butt cook time, I have been cooking 6-7 lb butts and it is taking 16-18 hrs to cook to 195, is that alittle long to cook these, haven't checked oven temp. ricko

Yep, the 6-7 pounders usually take about 18 hours every time and that's at 225 degrees.

No problem...you're right on track. I've done so many pork butts and have never had of that weight range finish before 17-18 hrs.
Always go by the internal meat temp and and you can't go wrong.
