I am planning on doing two 7.5lb pork butts this weekend. I have done one 7.5lb pork butt before using 4 oz of wood and it was great. My question is do I need to increase the amount of wood I use to get the same results as my first pork butt? Will it take longer to do two butts vs one butt?

Thanks in Advance,

Been kind of a busy week, sorry I couldn't post sooner.

Won't need to change anything. Unless you use all three shelves in the smokette, you won't have a problem with heat loss because of adding meat.

because this is an electric smoker, as the meat absorbs the heat, the unit will compensate and keep the oven close to a set temp (not true in an offset).

For wood, you won't need to add more. You smoker will fill with smoke and whatever in there will absorb it (one butt or two). Again if you fill it, you might add another ounce.

Hope this helped, although late.
