I have two pork butts around 5 lbs. each and was wondering if I put both in the smoker at one time should I estimate time based on 10 lbs of meat or on the biggest butt? This may seem like a dumb question, but it is Monday.

Mornin', and there are no dumb questions.
The weight of the largest piece is what you are guessing by,although placement and individual characteristics can cause that to vary.
You can guesstimate around 2 hrs./lb.[10 hrs.at 225�]
Although an internal temp above 195� and a bone that will wiggle are better indications.
