Was that farmer raising them for pets or for butcher? How old are they? Do you know what they have been fed out on and what kind and size pen they have been in?

They should be made up like any other hog. If he only mentioned making sausage from them, he must figger that is all they are good for.

don't know too much about them yet, the friend called me on 5-4-06 around 10pm, I realy didn't aske him any questions at that time, I figure I would throw the question out to the fourm members and find out what I need to know about these pigs.

Budman, BLH brings up come good points, but there's one other thing you'll want to know. Are they boar pigs? Boars, especially old boars, can have a pretty pungent taste, even in well seasoned sausage.
