I got in a hurry to cook up a butt and tried this with great results.Used a 7 lb. boston butt-pork and sprinkled on heavily some Paul Prudhommes Magic BBQ seasoning. Then pour some seasoning in a sauce pan(5-6 tblspns)added water and let boil till seasoning was melted away. Then sucked up the seasoned water in the injector needle and went to sticking it all over the butt till it started coming out of the meat.Added more sprinkled on seasoning and put in the ST oven at 220 andhad 4 oz red oak, shut the door and let cook till it reached 195.About 12 hours cook time, after pulling the butt into shreds added more seasoning and mixed well.I dont feel like it needed bbq sauce at all.But did have it on the side and was very good to everyone who ate it.

Ya dont have to worry with mustard at all!It tastes very fine without it.Ya might add some Durkee brand chicken&rib rub powder to it after shredding or pullin along with less than a half cup of water...It blends well and ya might not need a sauce before adding to HB buns or hot dog buns!Enjoy, billyqSmiler
