Well - I found a BBQ restaurant in Blowing Rock, NC- Woodlands it is called. Had great music (fiddles and such) but the food was very mediocre. Not sure if it was them or the result of my having a CS and having eaten good Q as a result. Same thing happened when I was in Williamsburg last weekend. We ate at Red Hot and Blue. I had been there three times in the past (prior to getting my smoker) and really enjoyed it. I ordered brisket and ribs this past week. The baby backs (dry rub) were pretty good. The brisket was pretty awful - plain tough. So a word of warning to all. Making your own can sure spoil you and CS smokers make it so well and so easy, you may never want to eat Q at a restaurant again.

I cooked a pork butt for pulled pork BBQ and served it to some friends from North Carolina. I used Smokin's vinager mop sauce with the additions of some garlic and Old Bay seasoning. They said it was the best they ever had. They have been to most of the top rated joints in the Carolinas and from their enthusiasm and the amount they ate I believe them.
