I want to smoke quail eggs - anybody got a recipe that works without turning the eggs into something resembling chewable rubber? Your help would be appreciated!

Quail eggs you want,well I don't know a thing about them,other than they are very small and seem to be a waste of time,you would need a WHOLE BUNCH to make a mess.(lol)
Scrole down on this sight to to October and you will find a whole bunch of info re/smoked eggs.Don't know why you could not use that info and apply it to quail eggs.There is also mentioned Scotch eggs.Maybe you could set us YANKS straight as to how they are made.Looking foward to your next post.

All I have been able to find is hardboil them,peel,roll in salt and pepper.
Cold smoke for 8-10 hours.
Shelf life of 2 weeks.
