Most don't know much about BBQ except the main cook.
I've won with a team of one, have fun on a team of 2, see teams of 4 do well, seen teams of 10 party to much to cook anything.
Think of it like this. Have you ever cooked with these people, don't wait until the contest.
I've seen it a lot of ways.
The ONLY way that works is to have one cook who makes all decisions, rules the roost, etc. At turn in time, you don't have time to vote. Clocks ticking.
I've seen teams with 4 people, one for each category.

Have a practice cook with the team.
