did the beltway bbq showdown in maryland on June 3-4 , used my fec 100 to do my ribs, pork butt and brisket,and my results were:

2nd place ribs
2nd place pork butt
10th place brisket
reserve champion and missed grand champion by 6 tenths of a point.

Congratulations Mike! I know how those close finishes can go. When I was cooking with FireHouseBBQ, we beat Fast Eddy by 2 hundreths of a point for GC. He was not too upset since we were using FEC 100s!

Yep,and we lost by about the same other times.

Lot of great cooks out there and many with FECs.

I have a meadow creek pr36, that i cook the chicken on , i have won 3 events doing it this way and its easier to get the skin crispy , still working on it in the fec. thanks for asking

Sweet!, It's always nice to hear of teams that excel with a FEC100. While it lets ya get a little rest, a person still has to know how to cook.
