I've never tried hanging them, but I might try it some day. Just to see if I can tell any difference. It's just so easy to put them flat on the grates. I do mine bone side down usually but I started out meat side down last time I smoked them and then flipped them over half way through. They seem to taste great no matter how I do them.
flat.

There was a period, but I think it just goes in cycles and you say a lot of people posting/asking, but you didn't hear from the people laying them flat.

I go for flat. If you hang them, how close are they go the heat? What about thick vs thin end, which end do you put up? What about all the fat dripping out / down/ up?

See, too many questions.

Flat it is for us.
