Ribs: Horizontal or vertical?

Just got my Amerique and did 3 racks this weekend. I noticed that the grease dripped off the upper racks hitting the lower ribs. Would I be better off with a rib rack and 3 racks standing up on the same level?

What do you guys do?

Yep,you can get some blood/juice spots from ribs dripping on the next level down.

Just depends on how much it bothers you.

I cut them in half crosswise and hang them in my Smokette with the standard CS rib hooks. I can get alot more racks in there than you might think!

I think you should put in 1 grate as high as it will go and then hang full racks from it, wide ends up.

I talked to Cookshack's Sales Manager yesterday, as we were debating which model to buy. He sold me on the AmeriQue and one of the big advantages to the AmeriQue is being able to do a full rack of ribs horizontally. He seemed to think that was more advantageous than hanging them. The drip issue wasn't mentioned.

Is it more advantagious simply because you can get more ribs in it horizontally than hanging?
