I am in PA and there will be a large event coming. People will be traveling all over to different locations. I live along a busy major road. While sitting in the garage this morning with a friend looking at all the traffic, he said it would be a great place to set up and Some sandwiches during this weekend event. Burgers, Pulled Pork maybe a side or 2 and sodas. He was asking about costs/times to make things and everything that goes with the easy parts.

So here are a couple of questions maybe someone could help me with.

Would one need any types of licenses or permits to do this?

Inspections from some government agency be needed?

Would one need insurance to do such a thing, and where would one find information on it?

This would probably only go on for 2 days at my place.

Making the food and pricing are easy it is the above questions that came to me quickly as he was talking that seem to be the hard part.

Thank you for any input provided.

Doubt seriously if it be would be permissible to set up on the highway Right of Way..if that's what you had in mind. That's liable to get all the highway law dogs riled up. Now if you was on private property it might work. The health goons down here sell a little two day permit to peddle in conjunction with special events and major holidays which cost 30 bucks and are pretty lenient on the health rules. Your area might have similar. The key to success around here lies in the geography. Most of the health meanies hang in the big cities. If you get out in the country or small towns nobody seems to notice what you do too much and two days later you will be gone. I would try it on private property and leave the health folks out of the equation. No use to be getting on their radar unnecessarily. They love bleach water so be sure to have some of that. Let us know how it turns out. Chances are if they are fortunate enough to catch you they just chew you out and tell you dont do it again or come buy a permit on Monday morn etc.
