The probe, temp gauge and timer is worth every penny!!

I recently purchased a 55 an came across a interesting tip on this forum though I would verify it with CS first. The AQ side racks will fit into a 50. This would give more clearance between grates. 4 grates 5 inches apart instead of the standard 5 grates 4 inches apart on a 50. I'm thinking that extra inch in hieght would make a big difference. I don't beleive I used all 5 racks and any one time so far. That might be a nice option for CS to offer on the 50.

Computerized cooking is nothing new, however I also would rather have the larger space without the electronics. I hope they are getting it all worked out.

Since the electronics are on the outside, not sure what you're wanting? A bigger inside?

AS for other options, I'd suggest a call to CS and talk to them. They don't "regularly" monitor the forum and mods/enhancements until they're in production, but hearing from you via a phone call gives you the best feedback.

I like the larger racks, not necessarily taller, but wider or deeper. I am not interested in digital or computerized controls at all.

I have had this smoker for only 2 months
and it seems well worth the investment.
Truly a SET IT AND FORGET IT EXPERIENCE.
I have done app.200# of this and that and
I have had no problems yet!
Yes this is a steep investement but well worth it.
FORGET THE REST AND BUY THE BEST!
