i have been using a smokette for about five years and recently upgraded to a sm150 and have nothing but great bbq. recently however on my last two cooks i have noticed that the pork butts are not getting done as they were in the past. two weeks ago i did 10 butts and they were all at 190 in 10 1/2 hours. i have done three butts twice in the past few days and only the two on the bottom rack made it to 190 and this took 12 hours. the one on the rack just above it was in there 14 hours and it only got to 180. i have also noticed the meat probe is reading one temp and my instant read is showing a lot lower temp. i know this is a lot of info all at once it just is not making sence to me after several months of perfect results and all of a sudden i am having temp problems. any suggestions would be great. thanks

hey smokin, i am checking the temp right now. one thing that i forgot to mention is that it has been really cold here lately, low teens. i have noticed that as i set the temp and cook time the digital read out is a little slow at first. any chance this may have anything to do with it. thanks again
thanks for all of the info. checked the internal temp and it was right on with the digital. smoked three full briskets sunday night into monday at 12 hours they were perfect as usual. not sure what the deal was i am doing more butts this weekend will have to see what happens. thanks again for the info.
