Are you talking about the auger itself, or the pin that holds it on at the end.

I've never had either break, and certainly not heard of twice in one week.

Think the pellets might be catching and binding or it's something else.

Toss the brisket as it be below 140 significant and you don't know how long.
That was my thought on the brisket.

It was the bolt that holds the auger to the auger motor. I think that it may be the pellets. I have used over 300#'s of this brand of pellets this summer with no problems. Same bag of pellets this week. I did notice that when I put it back together this morning that auger did not look staight or lined up with the auger motor bracket though.

Been running it for 4 hours and no problems. Lessen learned...still have to check on it from time to time, just don't walk away and leave it. First night that I didn't get up and check on it.

Oh, by the way, it was a really nice 16# Black Angus, wet aged for 21 days...

Didn't want to say who's pellets until I found out what the problem really was. I hate to put a shadow on anyone or anything until I know for sure. I'm pretty sure that it was the bag of pellets. The pellets came from Epp. However, like I said before, I've burned over 300#'s infact, I just looked at the invoices and they total 480#'s that I have used of them on both the Traeger and the FEC100 this summer and never a problem. FEC is smokin again, we will see what happens. Any other input would be great.

Thanks,

Dale

Just call Tony @ CS and talk it out with him. I haven't looked at my auger running, so I'm not sure if it does that when it starts to turn or not.
