I just can't find a lot of info on exhausting an FEC-100. I need to get the smoke up and out of the shed but I don't want to create a back pressure on the flow either. Using an elbow to direct up, how much 5 inch stove pipe is allowable or should I plan on larger pipe?

Try the FIND at page top and input things like FEC smoke stack.All forums.

We had early threads and Smokin' Okie built some from Home Depot parts.

He'll probably be by ,directly.

Most people use the 5", but I don't know I've seen a specification for how LONG a run you can make?

If it's more than about the height of the smoker, maybe a call to CS and they can tell you.

I've placed my FEC100 inside our trailer. I have the following using double-walled 5" stove pipe parts:

90 degree (head out the trailer)
18" straight (out the trailer)
90 degree (head up the trailer)
5' straight pipe (get it above the trailer)
spark arrester

Has worked fine now for 16 cooks in the wind and snow.
