Have read that you can smoke beans at same time as ribs. I searched this and came up with just mention of smoked baked beans. Can anyone give me some times. Do you leave then in as long as the spares? (6 hours or so)? My thinking is to put them under the spares and use the drippings as seasoning but am wondering if this might produce too much grease and smoke. Thanks for any replies. al

Of COURSE you can, they're the best.

Go to the recipe forum and look, there are several bean threads there.

Too much grease and too much smoke is subjective. Don't think you'll get too much from ribs. Maybe from butts or brisket, but not ribs.

3 hours is all I do, at about 275. But depends on the beans, fresh or canned, how much, etc.

Check out those recipes for some thoughts.
