Found an ad from a nearby meat market, they have spares by the case for 1.59/lb which around here, this time of year, is pretty good since everyone else has them for 1.99/lb. I called them to ask what they had left, they said 1 case at that price, 4 cryovacs in the case, 36lbs total. I guess I'm taking a ride! Oh and they are Hatfield brand.
At 9 lbs per pack would you expect that to be 2 racks each?
And...I asked if they ever carry Tri-tip roasts, they said no. :-| They offered me a sirloin tip roast.
