There was some chit-chat about brining-bags over Thanksgiving. Maybe I am the only one who didn't know that Reynolds has a "cooking" bag. Yes, it's true. Nylon thing. Like a lady's stocking. Put the turkey in the bag, run the oven up to 350*,throw the bagged bird in, and wait.....(the bag preserves moisture! Right!)

Hey, any testimonials? No? I think everybody who tried it died. Whoa. Nylon cooking bag?

I wasn't born yesterday. Have you ever smelled burning nylon; had molten nylon drop on your person? Ohhhhhh.

Try

No boot for me, please. I'll smoke in the raw.

But, I may be wrong....

The bags we were talking about is what kind of bag can you use to hold your brine, not to cook it in. At least that's how I took it. I don't smoke anything in a bag because the smoke won't penetrate.

From the Turkey 101 photos, here is one of those Reynolds "cook-in" bags, but I use it only to hold the brine. I took it out of the bag and air dried after brining.
