I have smoked every weekend for the past 5 weeks with my smokette 009. There is a LOT of smoke that comes out from the smoker. I've noticed that a lot of people talk about a corner with smoke comning out but on mine, I am talking about from one end of the door to the other (Top of the door). I talked with Tony at CS and we went over the paper test and ended up trying the rubber mallet. Still no luck. smoke still pours out from one end to the other on top of the door. Now the food I have been turning out has been good but Should I be concerned about this much smoke comning out. New to this and thought maybe food could be loosing moisture with that much smoke comning out.

Personally I think it much ado about nothing. It's a smoker and smoke comes out the top and some out the front "shouldn't" be a concern. The smoker still functions perfectly when it does this. You won't be losing enough moisture to worry, in fact it might improve the product if a little moisture gets out, but I can't image that much getting out the door.

If you really concerned, you can call CS again and discuss it with them and they'll advise you.

The home units aren't made for indoors so a little smoke out the door shouldn't be a problem.
It helps alot to not clean the smoker too good. Wipe it out with a paper towel and clean the outside with 409 or similar. Put the racks, grills, woodbox, ribhooks, etc. in the dishwasher. The seasoning needs to stay on and that is what will plug up the gap around the door eventually, if such a gap exists.
