Hi everyone,
I love my Maverick..but I've used it and abused it for too long and it's been acting up lately. I was hoping to get one more smoke out of it but it has now stopped displaying the food temp and only displays the smoker temp. Since my Smokette is the most reliable thing I own (not counting my Ford vehicles !), I don't need the verification of smoker temp so I switched the input and have the food probe inserted into the smoker input. It seems to be displaying about the right temp (my eight pound butt has been in about 12 hours and the probe displays a temp of 167), does everyone think that this will work ? I've got a new Maverick on the way.
