My old probe connecter went through but that was over when I left the probe in for grilling steak and the high heat killed the probe. I ordered a new Polder dual probe which came with right angle connecter that won't go through the hole so I guess I will try to force them through. I also ordered a new probe for my old Polder and it was $10 but the shipping ended up $8+ and has taken over 2 weeks to get and still not here -- should have gotten a new one instead. I am not impressed with Polder customer service.
Well,at least we now know. After our conversations here, you may have bought the only Polder for several years.

Taylors are everywhere for under $15,and seems like a probe is $6 total.

You can usually buy the whole units for about 3 for $30,with free shipping on Amazon.

You can always run cable thru the door,as I have for years.

Comp teams will run several at a time that way

Hope this one works out.
I have yet to find a probe that won't fit into the vent hole (cs20,cs50, etc) by going probe first from the top down. Some are tougher than others but almost all will go through.

Never even have tried to put the connector plug through from the inside up since they are almost all 90 degree angle connectors.

Certainly your Polder will go through, probe first.
