I just got info from Taylor that seems to refute the conventional wisdom.
They say that most probe failures are short outs as the probe has contacted metal.
Since many here including me dangle a probe to test or monitor chamber temps we are almost certainly shorting out probes as they come into contact with racks.
This seems avoidable,NOW THAT I KNOW ABOUT IT!!
