Temp on smoke setting

The temp for the smoke setting with factory settings should run between 150 and 180deg.

Morning Ford, I have been getting 140- 160 onthe smoke setting using cherry and oak.

On my unit, during the winter my FE holds at 130* During the summer, it is around 200*
Eddy told me it has to do with the outside intake air temperature.

Freddie,have you tried turning the little timer setting on the controller up to #3?

Mine did that here in south Fl and now it runs about 160º in our hot weather.

It worked for Ocala Bill,also.

I had to turn the switch to 1 to keep the fire from going out. It came on 2.

If you turn the switch to 1, does it affect the other temperatures, or just the smoke setting. Mine went out on smoke a few times, but don't want to mess up the other temp settings.

It only affects the timer on smoke and 180º.

I talked to Tony in service, and Eddy ,to get ours set up that way.

They said to watch it on #3,as it could die out.

Ours never have.
