I'm not sure how to answer that correctly.

When the auger is feeding pellets,you get an increase in temp,like any cooker-when you add wood.

You get the same fluctuations on a gas/electric commercial kitchen oven.

There can be a 25�-30� swing for a few moments.

Because of the insulation and design,you do not have the wind,rain, and cold weather variations that is inherent in the external body of the Traeger.

When mine stabilizes,it seems to run in about a 10� range.
