I have an FEC 100 and lately I set the temperature for 236 but the reading on my panel reads 226... It is consistently 10'off I believe. Any ideas or similar problems...
Call the technical support people at Cookshack and they will be more than happy to help you. They don't monitor this website for problems so it is best to call them. They have always been very nice, even to me!

John, I will have to give them a call. It was just kinda funny that it is consistently 10' off. Thanks.
It was even worse today. I had it set at 276' and it only got up to 224' on my panel. I put a probe inside and it read 256' so I will be calling Cookshack tomorrow.
Mossy it sounds like a faulty probe (thermo-coupler) Bill or Tony will get it diagnosed and fixed. Meanwhile, check the probe to see if there's a "gunk" build up. If so, use a green kitchen scrubber to remove it.
