Tempature on Panel

Call the technical support people at Cookshack and they will be more than happy to help you. They don't monitor this website for problems so it is best to call them. They have always been very nice, even to me!

Solid advice from John. A couple things you might check....

1....Is there some pellet dust built up in the bottom of your hopper or feed tube?

2....Have you ever cleaned out the area around your fire pot by removing the pot and vacuuming any ash build up?

I clean the FEC constantly. I use a vacuum on the whole lower part of the FEC including the bottom, fire pot, all of it.

I have not checked the hopper because I never let the hopper get that low of pellets. Maybe I should clean out the pellets and check that.

I will have to give them a call. It was just kinda funny that it is consistently 10' off. Thanks.

A consistent 10F off would point me in the direction of the electronics. Time to call CS.

It was even worse today. I had it set at 276' and it only got up to 224' on my panel. I put a probe inside and it read 256' so I will be calling Cookshack tomorrow.

Mossy it sounds like a faulty probe (thermo-coupler) Bill or Tony will get it diagnosed and fixed. Meanwhile, check the probe to see if there's a "gunk" build up. If so, use a green kitchen scrubber to remove it.
