Hi folks,
I have an FEC-100 w/ IQ4 (manufactured in 2010) and I am having an issue where the temps will jump 10,12+ degrees from one read of the display to the next.
I called customer service, and Bill helped me troubleshoot some with it possibly being a grounding issue. I swapped extension cords as well as outlet. No luck. Same issue.
I then replaced the thermocouple with a new one today and fired the smoker back up. Same issue unfortunately.
Any thoughts here? Next on the list is the controller, which is obviously an expensive part, and likely the end of the FEC-100 for me.
To make matters worse I was planning for the thermocouple to fix my issues, and I have a competition next week!
