I went in search of an exhaust extension for the cooker but wanted to keep the level of exhaust as close to factory as possible.
I ended up buying a 5" Galv Top Take Off for 5 bucks.
Being that both the cooker exhaust pipe and the take off are 5", I used tin snips to cut slots in the take off.
I then slide it over the pipe, clamped down and I have only lowered the exhaust minimally and have the option of rotating the take off in any direction I choose.
I also bought a 5" cap to put in place of the take off for when I store the cooker to keep mice or any other little critters out.

Hi ZBO, I actually did just that but within 15 minutes of the cooker being on the louvers started to get sticky from the smoke and I was unable to move the sliding louvers so I removed it.
I then went back and bought a 5" end cap that I put in its place after I was done with the cooker.
