Thinking of Buying

I just started thinking about buying a smoker. I have never smoked anything, but have enjoyed many of briscuits from my father and father-in-law.
Anyway, I stumbled across the cookshack and am now thinking about buying one as you guys make it seem so easy.

Would you guys recommend the Smokette or the Model 50? I notice rib racks do not fit in the Smokette. Can you lay them flate on the grates? I apreciate the input/comparison of the smokette versus the model 50

The weber rib racks fit in the Smokette, although I'm not sure it really gives you that much capacity.

If you're going to cook for a crowd, or do multiple items at the same time, and you have the money, go with the model 50. Otherwise, the Smokette will serve you well.

Glad you asked, hopefully we can help you decide.

Do a search on "thinking of buying" Or "which one" and you'll get some good responses.

You can also look through the owners Forum and Owners Archive and you'll see some pretty good testimonials.

The issue is size is simple. If you're worried about not enough, and have the money, go with the bigger one.
