I am doing my first batch of ribs this Friday. I just wondered if you guys get better results hanging your ribs, or letting them baste each other on the racks?
This will be a dry rub smoke, until final 2 hrs which I will mop.

I allways hang my ribs that way I can at get about 9 or more racks and if you plan to mop just put it in a spray bottle and all you have to do is open the door and spray them done.
I think the question is "Do you have the room to lay them out flat?"

Good point I didnt consider the room I would need to lay flat. I have 7 people coming so I guess I will need to hang.

you can hang in the model 50 or 55 not in the smokette.
I do have the smokett. It seems if I put the rack in the top slot that would give room to hang the ribs. Why cant you hang in the smokett?
I have a smokette to and I think they would be to long .I guess if you cut them into it might work. Ha may be you can.
