OK, so I over did the salt on the pork butt. Way to much. Can I mix in some unseasoned pork butt to the over salted pork to reduce the saltyness? Any suggestions appreciated. I would hate to throw out $30 bucks of pulled pork. Thanks
If you haven't pulled the meat yet you can try cutting away the bark. Otherwise, I'd advise you not to try mixing the pork...you'll end up with a very unbalanced flavor profile.
I'm curious, was it too much of a salty rub that caused the result, or just too much salt, or both?
