Trying a new rub..

I picked up this rub the other day when I was in Kansas City, the guy at the shop told me he really likes it on ribs. I'm giving it a shot on some loin back ribs I bought yesterday. I'm about to put them in my sm025 right now. I'll let you know how it turns out. It smells real good!

That's Rod Gray of Pellet Envy. You can get it off of his web site. He's a great guy and I'm sure he has a great product! You'll learn a lot if you take his class. He now competes on a Jambo Pit but started out on FECs.

I was sent some of the same rub in the recent sauce and rub exchange...like it a lot. Rod Grey won the Barbecue Pitmasters Kansas City challenge, along with countless Grand Championships.

His sauces are very good as well.

Nice job on the ribs...they look delish.

I've found that the best place in KC to buy Rodney's products are at Price Chopper. It will save you a few dollars.

I've heard from some old timers that Rodney and Sheri could put nothing on a slab but a snap o' the fingers and a wish and make better ribs than many of us.
