Just saw the following post from Dr. BBQ on Facebook. Figured I'd post it here for those not on Facebook.

Welcome BBQ Central Fans!
Here's the recipe I was talking about with Greg Rempe. This is a great injection for your Thanksgiving Turkey. And if you want to help Scottie out go to www.cancersuckschicago.com

Scottie’s Creole Butter

1 pound butter
1 twelve ounce can beer
1 tablespoon barbecue rub of your choice
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon white pepper
1 tablespoon finely ground black pepper
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Yep,we have it here in the fsvorite recipe sections.

I posted it from Scottie about a decade ago and it has been used a lot here.
Scottie didn't intend it to be for deepfried turkey's at the time, alltho it is much like those being tossed around now.
He was cooking on some very early Fast Eddy's and many of us used it with his technique.

You might even find old forum posts of Smokin' and I using in the old Smokettes, before folks thought of injecting.
Nothing wrong with a re-post.I go looking for mine,or others I thought I remembered and can't find them.
As hard as Smokin' works we get broken links and he and I have been thru multiple servers.

I still see a thread start that I recognize the general info and realize with so many folks coming on board it is "new".

Also, maybe just something good that is seasonal that might start some good approaches to cooking.

Scottie has been one of the top cooks for years. He won the Jack as a "bbq" cook and next year we watched him win the surprise ingredient/anything butt at the Jack.
