Turkey Pans

Just got my new 025...can't wait to make turkey...recipe calls for turkey to be placed in a foil roasting pan. There is liquid that goes into the cavity (cola) so...I am thinking...can I place the turkey in a roasting pan and then into the 025? If I just place it in the smoker without a pan I presume all liquids will just come out and drain out of the smoker into the drip pan...help! Thanks!

Just place your bird in your 025 - no pan. Most folks don't care for smoked drippings from poultry. Mix up some chicken base for gravy.
