I have seen Choice off and on at Walmart for years.
A couple of years ago I was in a WM in my Dad's town.
An announcement came on "Attention KAPN. Smiler. Brisket is now marked down 70% in the meat dept."
Checked it out. PRIME for 70 cents/lb !!!!!!!!!
Sell by date was up.

I bought all they had--6 or 7 if I remember right!!!!!!!

Good Eats.

I was at WM today and picked up some Ribeyes and NY Strip steaks, USDA Choice. Most of their meat however is just labeled 'usda inspected' and not Choice. The more expense cuts are labeled choice. Confusing and probably a little misleading. I was looking for a whole beef tenderloin and a large prime rib for the holidays but no luck. Do they ever even carry them?
This WW and choice meat is real weird, IMO. I went to Rogers,Arkansas last weekend to meet with Candy Sue, got there a little early, so time to burn. I decided to check out the meat selection at their WW. OMG, they had choice everywhere...well maybe not briskets, but heck they had plenty of choice 3 bone rib roasts and plenty of other cuts.

When I got back home, Sonja and I went to our WW and dang there was just a small selection of steaks that were choice. What's so weird is our supercenter is just 3/4 of a mile away from one of their REGIONAL food distribution warehouses...go figure that out!
