Weight loss from raw to cooked?

What is the weight loss from raw to cooked brisket? My 15 pounder cooked to a weight of 9.7. Is that about right?

Sounds about right. On average I have found around 35% loss during cooking assuming the weight was taken after trimming if trimming took place.

On average my yield (on packers) is 65%-68% so you're right on the money. Those figures include pre-cooking trim loss, which vary a bit from packer to packer, percentage wise.
