Which Wireless Thermometer

I use a Maverick ET-73. It sometimes has a problem sending its signal through too many walls so the range can be limited. Just depends on your particular situation. Otherwise, very happy with them.

I've got a Nu-Temp 701 with 4 remotes. Works okay at the house. Too nervous to use it at a contest. My only complaint is they eat batteries -- can't turn them off and the batteries are hard to get to to change.

Thanks for the input. I ordered a ACCURITE WIRELESS BBQ THERMOMETER & PAGER. I get kinda impatient at times. Just ask my wife.

I'm with Candy Sue on this one, I use my Thermapen more than anything. Don't use remote probes at contests at all anymore

hi. don't know if anyone is still reading this topic. I wonder why SmokinOakie doesn't use the remote at contests anymore? Do they foul up easily? We were thinking about getting one, too. Thanks.

We use one at the contests. Have not had any problem with crosstalk or such.

I don't use them at contests because I've got my timing down, and like it says, I use my Thermapen for instant reads.

No problem with them, just not in my bag of tricks for contests anymore. Touch and feel method works pretty good for me now.
