Winn-Dixies St. Louis cut ribs (beware)

Our local Winn-Dixie is having a sale this week on spareribs. A whole slab is $1.99 lb. But they are also selling, what they call, St. Louis trimmed ribs for $2.49 lb. The problem is the St. Louis trimmed ribs for $2.49lb are the trimmings from the whole slab. Instead of a nice rectangular slab they are selling the trimmed off piece with the cartilage that's shaped like a long triangle. What a rip off.

It's hard to imagine why they thought that would be worth $2.49 a pound. That trimmed off cartilage part should go for 39 cents a pound, though I've never heard of anyone selling the trimmings like that. Odd.
