It's somehow hard for me to trust a wireless bbq probe, But what I do trust is a wireless baby monitor. So here is my question, Has anyone used a baby monitor to listen to their taylor/mav. temp alarms? I know that it won't give you the exact read-out. But if you don't open the door while you cook, every hour or so you can go check.

Why don't you trust a wireless remote probe? Essentially they work or they don't and I haven't had any that really didn't work if the probe was good. The Mav has a short transmit distance (about 25 feet) but I have some Taylors that will go to 400 feet.

Seems to me that as long as your getting a temp reading on your remote rcvr, what's not to trust?
