Wood | Cookshack

I purchased a smokette a while back and there was a box of smoking wood inside. Does anyone know what kind of wood this is? I didn't find any markings on the box.

Thats a tough one.When I bought my smokette they gave me a box of apple no complaints there. It was good flavor.I recently bought a wood sampler kit and found that the apple when compared to hickory was a shade close to gray where as hickory was closer too yellow.If that doesnt help just burn it and smell.That might help. Good luck

Thanks, I'll take a look at it. Otherwise I'll just use it. I'm sure it'll taste like wood smoke.
