does it matter if you use hickory (or others) natural with or with out bark? Like I have some kiln dried chunks of hickory left over and some other hard woods???
Seatoday; The CS uses so little wood that I just chip the bark off. Like Dennis-UT says you"ll hear lots of pros & cons on that issue but that'll be from the stick burners. It's said the bark adds a bitter taste. Kiln dried is an artificial proccess of removing moisture from wood. The moisture is what creates the smoke we"re looking for. There's lots of places out there to get good naturaly seasoned wood so I'd steer clear of the kiln dried. Regards
