When facing the smoker, does the wood pan hinge to the right or the left?

I have a 008 and it hinge's to the left. Not sure of other models.
My 008 goes left.

My hinge is also on the left.. however if you look at the ENDS of the wood box you will see a rectangular hole that goes all the way from one end to the other. Only one hole is bigger than the other.. the big end goes on FIRST.. that is, it faces the back of the smoker.
I have an AmeriQue...the smoke box also hinges on the left!!!
