I recently purchased 25 lbs of Hickory, 10lbs of Pecan, 10 lbs of Cherry wood online from http://www.barbequewoods.com/
The price was reasonable and shipping was fast. When I got the wood, I was suprised that it was not CHUNKS, rather it was 1/4 inch planks about 2" wide and 4" long! All the wood I purchased specifically said (in the title) for Cookshacks!
OK - I was a little nervious but decided to use it anyway. I measured the planks out to simulate 4oz by stacking then together and placed them in the smoker.
End result - The wood worked out fine - You wood <wink> never know that they were planks.
Anyone else experience this?
