I have a big bag of hickory that includes a lot of pieces of bark along with the wood. Is the bark okay to use, or should I stick with just wood?

If you think the bark may have been sprayed,or looks,rotted,contaminated,weird growths,etc,toss it.
You can buy a lifetime of wood for a Cookshack for $10.
Or,pick it up off the ground.
Otherwise,use it.
Most trees come with bark,around here.

I'm on my 4th lifetime
I take my wood chunks and remove the bark from the entire quantity. Then, I weigh all of the pieces, mark them with a marker, and store each type in its own container for easiest use.
