just wondering has anyone else read the entry form for this contest???!!!
even though this would be our shortest tow i am having problems with this one due to the following reasons;
1-the organizer is requiring that all stick burners bring their own metal cans for embers. even tho i am a pellet muncher i have never seen that one before.
2-peoples choice is requirement of all competitiors. even tho we have always done this it was an option not a requirement.
3-you are not allowed to bring your own "adult beverages" on site. they must be bought from the organizer's sellers there.
4-from my reading of holes in his entry form you can not even put down tent pegs.
5-after all these rules he is not requiring that vendors be at a minimum be certified by the state as MFD. sure is strange to me based off of his other requirements.

maybe i am looking at this too hard after my bad experience at minneola and my subsequent dropping of our memebership in the FBA. i certainly would like to think so since this would amount to a 25 minuite tow but i guess the final straw was the organizer requirement of a 5 lb abc fire bottle when all the state requires of me is a 4a10bc bottle.

guess this is part of the reason why we have dropped out of the fba.

FireHouseBBQ won't be there,either.

Making the cookteams buy all their own beer and drinks,at retail,from the organizer is one more way of making the cookteams pay for the contest,rather than being the attraction.

Now if they were going to pay 80% of it back out as prizes,it might work out. Wink

Next ,they'll want to sell us water by the gallon-at retail.
