Things I know:
1. I'm tired
2. You can buy better meat in KC than anywhere else I've been.
3. More contest should allow contestants to vend if they want to.
4. The best part of contests is meeting people.

Things I think:
1. Those who stick to a more limited area are a lot smarter than me. The taste profile of Tunica, MS is a lot different than Des Moines, IA.
2. The one who has the best raw meat has a huge advantage. (see 2 above)
3. The one thing I like better about MIM than KCBS is that a lot a MIM cooks hang around Sat. night so there is a better chance to meet new folks.

A wise man told me to be careful and not burn out. So we are going to take a couple of monthes off and enjoy home.

How about two comps, two states...all in one weekend.

Bardwell, KY and then Smyrna, TN this weekend.

by the way, I think I just completed my 12th for the year across 7 states. I'm not tiring yet, but my wife and daughters have quit the team for a while. I'm sending them to the beach.

I pulled off the "two in one weekend" without a hitch, along with three other teams. It was a blast and I can't wait to do that again. Getting ready for Lawrenceburg this weekend. Can't wait.

I know, I've got some kind of disease....My wife doesn't understand, but the only cure is to keep on going.

By the way, we finished 10th overall in KY and 5th overall in Smyrna.
